Artist Statement
Growing up in the UK, Kathryn began painting at an early age and would get totally lost in the process. Kathryn begins a painting with playful marks and vibrant colours. She then creates original artworks intuitively from the different brush strokes, texture, and techniques, discovering the unique quirky village scenes. Her medium of choice is acrylic and mixed media on canvas. She has found a niche in her quirky villages and houses which were discovered through this process. They are all unique, original, quirky, and different. Each village scene tells a story. Kathryn’s artworks bring joy and colour and life to the household. Some of her artworks are recognizable locations from around the world. She holds group art classes and workshops from Ellis House Bayswater and other venues in Perth. Kathryn also teaches art classes for people with a disability
